Have No Idea Where To Start? Let's Start With Living Room Cleaning Tips.

A lot of people never know where to start when it comes to cleaning their house. Some people over think and put it off, some have friends or family to help them and some people have no one.

A room a day or even every other day is a good start.

For me, I always start in the living room. This is the place where everyone is at when they stop by, it is the first thing the see when they walk in the house.  Organizing, moping, dusting and lighting candles is the easiest way I make this space clean. Here is a good checklist to use when cleaning the living room.

  • Get all the supplies you will need. This will make it easier to clean.
  • Start getting rid of all the trash and the clutter.
  • Dust blinds, fans, windows and and hard surface.

This is normally done with a duster or a damp microfiber towel.

  • Straighten up any books, gaming items or anything that you would keep around your living room.

Normally items in the entertainment center or little trinkets you have in your living room.

  • Vacuum the couches and other areas for seating.
If you have any area rugs now would be a good time to take them outside, if able, and beat them with a broom.
  • Vacuum the floor and mop.
  • Arrange everything how you want it. ANNNDDDDDDD you are done!!!

Cleaning something as your living room can make you feel accomplished.

The Living Room is the heart of your home, where you relax and entertain guests. Keeping it clean is essential for maintaining a comfortable and welcoming environment. In this article, we will share some helpful living room cleaning tips that will make your life easier and leave you with a sparkling clean space.

1.
Declutter your living room: Before you start cleaning, take a few minutes to declutter the room. Put away any items that are out of place or not being used, such as books, magazines, and electronics. This will make it easier to clean and give you a clearer view of what needs attention.

2.
Dust surfaces: Dust is a common problem in living rooms, especially on surfaces like coffee tables, shelves, and end tables. Use a soft-bristled brush or a microfiber cloth to gently dust these surfaces, making sure to get into any crevices or cracks. Don't forget to dust the top of the TV and other electronic devices.

3.
Vacuum or sweep the floor: Regularly vacuuming or sweeping the floor will keep it clean and free from dirt and debris. Use a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter to trap allergens and particles that can irritate your lungs. If you prefer to sweep, use a broom with a dustpan and make sure to dispose of any debris properly.

4.
Clean windows: Dirty windows can make a room look dark and uninviting. Use a glass cleaner specifically designed for windows and apply it to the surface using a squeegee or microfiber cloth. Make sure to clean the frames and sills as well to give your windows a polished look.

5.
Maintain upholstery: Upholstered furniture like sofas and armchairs can quickly become dirty and stained. Use a vacuum cleaner with an upholstery attachment to remove any loose dirt and debris from the fabric. You can also use a carpet cleaner or steam cleaner to deep clean your upholstery and remove any stubborn stains.

6.
Clean rugs: Rugs in the living room are often overlooked, but they can harbor dirt, dust, and pet hair. Use a vacuum cleaner with a beater brush attachment to loosen the dirt and debris on the surface of the rug. You can also use a carpet cleaner or steam cleaner to deep clean your rugs and give them a fresh look.

7.
Wash throw pillows: Throw pillows are a great way to add color and comfort to your living room, but they can quickly become dirty and stained. Wash your throw pillows in hot water with laundry detergent to remove any dirt and bacteria. You can also use a pillowcase to protect them from spills and stains.

8.
Clean bathrooms: If you have a separate living room and bathroom, it's important to keep the bathroom clean as well. Use a toilet brush to scrub the toilet bowl and seat, and spray a shower cleaner on the walls and tiles. You can also use a steam cleaner or carpet cleaner to deep clean the bathroom floors and fixtures.

9.
Maintain your HVAC system: A clean and well-maintained HVAC system is essential for keeping your living room comfortable and healthy. Change your air filters regularly, and have your system serviced by a professional technician every few years to ensure it's running smoothly.

10.
Stay organized: Finally, staying organized can make cleaning your living room much easier and more efficient. Use storage bins or shelves to keep items off the floor and out of sight, and consider using a cleaning checklist to help you stay on track and avoid missing any important tasks.

By following these living room cleaning tips, you can maintain a clean and welcoming environment in your home. Remember, cleaning is an ongoing process, so make sure to set aside time each week to tackle any dirt, dust, or debris that accumulates over time.
